Colt first introduced the King Cobra in 1986 built on the "V" frame. In the years to come, they released other models on the "V" frame, including the Anaconda. Then in 2019, Colt reintroduced the King Cobra built on an entirely different (smaller) grip frame.

ALTAMONT® offers grips for both size grip frames, but they are NOT interchangeable. Please review the sections below to select the appropriate King Cobra grip or contact us if you need help with identification.

COLT KING COBRA (2019 - CURRENT MODELS)

In 2019, Colt brought back the King Cobra chambered in .357 Magnum, a three inch barrel variant of the 2017 Colt Cobra.

This newer King Cobra is NOT built on the same grip frame as the older King Cobra "V" frame models. The grips listed in this section will ONLY fit the 2019 - CURRENT MODEL Colt King Cobra (including the .22 LR variation).

IF your Colt King Cobra 2019 - CURRENT MODEL comes stock with RUBBER GRIPS that screw on from the bottom, you will need a GRIP PIN to install Altamont grips. Click "Buy It" to add your grip of choice to the shopping cart. Then click "Customize" to add-on a complimentary grip pin to your order.

COLT KING COBRA (1986-1998 MODELS)

The grips in this section fit the Colt King Cobra models from 1986-1998. This Colt King Cobra is built on a medium-size "V" frame double-action revolver that was marketed particularly to law enforcement agencies and civilian firearms enthusiasts.

These grips will also fit the older (pre-2021) model Colt Anaconda, but they will NOT fit the 2021 Anaconda or the 2019 King Cobra. The Colt Python grips offered HERE on the website will fit the 2021 Anaconda. Please see the section above for 2019 Colt King Cobra grips.
